Today was our interview at the embassy. It's one step in the visa process, and I have to admit that I was a bit on the nervous side. The embassy is very strict about what they allow you to bring in.... So before leaving the baby home I packed as little as possible. Bottle of porridge, diaper, wipes, two toys and our folder of papers. I put Solo in my sling and he fell fast asleep. He slept for about an hour and a half while we were waiting to be seen. When he woke, he was fussy and I could tell he had pooped. Unfortunately, he's been sick so it was diarrhea and some had leaked onto my skirt. Sooo we run to the bathroom and of course there's no where to change him, so I opt for the wide ledge window sill. I proceed to unbutton his pants and take his diaper off... But before I can grab the clean one he of course poops all over his clothes. Me, not wanting to pack too much, had failed to pack an extra outfit. Ugh... At this point they're calling my name to go to the interview.
Sooo all I could do was wipe him up the best I could and go into the interview with a child who's clothes are covered in poo and a stressed out me. Not fun! Oh, and pretty sure I have strep throat as well. The devil tried to get me down, but through Jesus, there was no way he was gonna win! I prayed the whole time I was in that interview. My words stumbled. I couldn't think. Solo was crying and I just knew they were going to make me wait for our approval. I asked the Lord to intercede and He was ever so faithful! They gave us approval right on the spot! I couldn't believe it ( then I remembered who was on our side and I could believe it!) I get to go pick his visa up Wednesday! And most likely Solomon and I will be flying out Saturday! (we want to leave some room in there in case anything needs corrected) Which means I'll be home Sunday! Ohhhh the Lord is good! So so good! May all the glory be to Him!
